Did anyone really expect to be saved my the government? In fact, Obama's speech made it pretty clear that everyone will have to take more responsibility as individuals and depend less on the government. I think the plan is great as it is providing "something", but I also believe that everyone should still take the initiative to do what they need to.

I just recently finished a successful loan modification and it had to do with my deep desire to take the initiative, not blindly depending on someone or something to save me.

If you're a home owner facing a possible foreclosure, my advice is to put in the work and find the information. Knowledge is power, especially these days, where the lack of it can result in getting scammed or worse, losing your home!

Here are a few resources from the company that helped me secure my loan mod, I highly recommend you check them out at least. They might not be for everyone, but I had a great experience with them. We saw with TARP 1.0 that when people actively wrote and phoned their senators, they listened to the complaints. But only days later, they loaded the bill with more pork and passed it.

I can't see the younger generation "taking it to the streets" anytime soon. From what I can see, they are enormously pro-Obama and it will be take a while to change their perception.

Re: Google Glitch, Obama is all talk, Buy American, Debt Disaster

I don't expect any "real" change until people literally take to the streets. Until that happens "Wall Street-run-Washington" will continue to view the consumer as an ignorant cow whose only purpose is to be milked (bilked) for trillions.
